Rhonda Bennett - Piano - Teaches beginning, intermediate and advanced students – Salt Lake County/Riverton
At the age of 3 years, Rhonda began to show interest in the piano, playing familiar tunes TV ad jingles by ear. She began piano lessons the next fall at the age of 4 and continued through all her primary and secondary school years. She completed a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Music Education from the University of NE-Lincoln in 1980 as a piano major and vocal minor.
Rhonda has taught piano for nearly 30 years and, has been certified by the New School of American Music, Chico, CA to teach adult piano workshops in chord style piano and play by ear applications. She has also functioned as accompanist and composer and currently has 7 compositions in the elementary to intermediate levels first published by Myklas Music Press and now owned and published by Alfred Publishing Co. Among those titles are, Holiday Parade, Hound Dog Strut, Ocean Sunset, Get Away Rondo, Faded Poem, Sincerely Yours and Playful Pranks. She has numerous other unpublished works. She has plans for future publications at various levels from elementary through moderately advanced.
Rhonda's teaching approach is broad based, encompassing a strong reading emphasis with chord and scale theory and usage, play by ear proficiency, exposure to every genre of piano literature, history, accompanying and/or composing at some level and performance twice a year for all students 18 and under.

Highly trained pianist. Recipient of Scholarship Awards to UofU and BYU. Graduated with Bachelor's Degree in Piano from UofU. Have taught for 18 years. I love what I do. I teach using a very unique and incredible Australian- developed piano method called "Simply Music". We have students playing sophisticated,great sounding music(Classical,Blues, Contemporary, Accompaniments) from their very first lessons. Rodney Strong - Piano - Teaches beginning, intermediate and advanced students – Salt Lake County
Teach a variety of styles. Beginners will start with the usual method and lessons books by Alfred , etc. Intermediate students may progress through to Hanon type exercises and improvisation and fake books. My real goal with students is to allow them to play what and how they want learning chord symbols and studying in fake books. Improvisation and ear training are extremely important also. Once the students have achieved a certain level they may be asked to join the 'ON TRACK Music Program and join a band which is extremely fun and educational with live performances throughout the year.

Diane Clair - Piano - Teaches beginning, intermediate and advanced students – Salt Lake County
My home studio is on the corner of 1300 East and 5200 South, but I will soon be moving to Sugarhouse. I have openings for new students on Tuesday-Friday evenings, and on Saturdays. 45-minute lessons are $20, and are taught weekly. All levels are welcome, ages 5 and up.

Steve Call - Jazz Piano - Teaches beginning, intermediate and advanced students – Utah County
Steve Call has been teaching and playing brass instruments and jazz piano professionally for over 40 years. Before joining the Brigham Young University Music Faculty in 1979, he directed high school bands in Idaho and Utah. In the 1980s and 1990s he performed and recorded extensively with the Utah Symphony. In addition to his professorship at BYU, Dr. Call currently maintains a studio of brass and jazz piano students locally and is on the faculty of the International Euphonium Institute at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.
Call has developed a unique and highly successful way of teaching jazz piano that can help students who have limited keyboard experience begin to really play jazz while developing basic piano technique. Steve Call has a limited number of openings for low brass (trombone, baritone horn, euphonium, and tuba) and jazz piano students.
