About UMT:
Utah Music Teachers was founded as an affordable way for teachers, music schools and other music organizations to market themselves and connect with local students. It is also a hub where teachers and students can access free music education resources.
About the Founder
UMT was founded by Michael Tobian, a Utah based music educator and professional saxophonist. In addition to many years of private teaching, Michael directs jazz bands and teaches classes at Brigham Young University and Utah Valley University. He authored the book "Fundamentals of Jazz Improvisation", used in University Jazz Improvisation classes and owns the company Utah Live Bands, LLC, a successful live music booking agency. He graduated as a music major from BYU. In addition, Michael is a professional business broker and consultant. In this capacity he has personaly sold many companies.
As a music teacher, Mr. Tobian recognizes the need for musicians to increase and maintain the students in their studios. As a successful businessman and consultant, he understands the importance of marketing and realizes the burden of expensive advertising. The solution...
